David Gex

As a stylist, I am committed to serving. When someone comes into the salon feeling hesitant but leaves with confidence, I feel great. After all, my job is to make sure people love their hair. For that reason, I make it a priority to educate my team members and clients about the many different ways to achieve great color and style.

I received my professional training at Paul Mitchell Pasadena in 1981, graduating as a signature stylist. I also received more extensive instruction, on four different occasions, as a Redken student of the New York Exchange Academy in New York City.

During my time off, my family and I enjoy hanging out at the beach, watching movies and Survivor. I also love to golf and watch sports.

Sylvia Gex

It's hard to believe it has been 23 years since I had my first experience in the hair salon industry. I started as a receptionist for two years and attended cosmetology school. I previously worked at America's #1 customer service-based retail store for 10 years. That experience helped to prepare me for what the future would hold. I never imagined I would marry a hairdresser, have four beautiful kids, and own two hair salons. What a ride it has been!

David and I made the decision to open our own salon in 1998. We always knew the dream would have him behind the chair and me handling all of the business details. It truly has been a challenging experience and we feel blessed for the opportunity to do it. It is an ever-changing industry, which is what keeps it fun and exciting.

I have always enjoyed being around people from all walks of life, talking and getting to know them. So it's been thrilling for me to welcome people to our salon. I believe that we've assembled quite an amazing team, and I'm sure you'll agree. We look forward to continued success on this journey.

Lauri

I focus on being detail-oriented, creative, and energetic. Doing hair has always come naturally to me. As a stylist, I like to stick with design basics because simple styles sometimes work best.

I originally received my training at Citrus College Cosmetology School in 1988. I am currently a Hair Color Certified Stylist with Redken and have received extensive training in the Redken Product line. While working as a stylist in Glendora for the past 22 years, I have maintained long-term relationships with many of my clients.

I love to spend my time off with family, and enjoy hiking, shopping, and working out, as well as making it a priority to donate to a women's shelter and other local charities.

Alicia

I'm a creative perfectionist who strives for the best and consider my style to be California casual chic. My styling accomplishments include being published in Passion and Hairstyles Magazine and being honored in numerous hair competitions.

For the past 17 years, I have extended my education in haircutting for men and women and corrective color. I received my initial training at Citrus College Cosmetology School in 1993. I am also a Hair Color Certified Stylist with Redken and mentored under Russell Parks and Dave Mazza in Orange County. While continuing my education in hair, I have recently attended advanced seminars in color correction and creative color with Redken and Swartzkoph.

In my time off, I enjoy spending time with my family, running, going to the beach, playing in my new YT, and volunteering for local charities.

Brittney

I have always been interested in the beauty industry and enjoy introducing new ideas to my clients. I want them to feel stylish, confident, and beautiful. I strive to give each and every client a style that is truly original. Doing so is especially rewarding for me!

I received my training at Hacienda La Puente Vocational School in 2007-2008 and have worked as an assistant or coordinator at three different salons in California. I have extended my training by assisting The Loft owner, David Gex, and attending Redken cut and color classes.

In my free time I enjoy listening to music, dancing, fashion, going to the beach, and hanging out with my friends.

Jenny

As a stylist, I focus on listening to my client's needs and striving to help them achieve their hairstyling goals. I believe that honesty is critical and I want to give my clients the look that best suits their lifestyle. Styling hair is something that has always come naturally to me. As a young girl it was not uncommon for my dolls to be missing hair because I was always trying new cuts on them! I believe that cutting and coloring is my forte and I love making people feel beautiful.

I was professionally trained at the Marinello Beauty School in 2001. Additionally, I have attended advanced training courses through the Sebastian and Redken Academies.

During my time off, I enjoy being with my family and spending time with my dog and cat. I also love hanging out with friends and watching TV.

As a stylist, I am 100% committed to my clients. My goal is to make sure each client is completely satisfied every time they leave the chair. I am devoted to making sure every individual feels welcome, safe, and confident in my abilities.

I graduated from the Citrus College of Cosmetology in early 2007. Also, I have received extensive training at the Paul Mitchell and Redken Academies for cut, color, and styling. I graduated at the top of my class in cosmetology school and during that time, I assisted The Loft owner, David Gex, at his Pasadena Salon, Tangles. I enjoy keeping up with the latest hair-styling trends and attend countless hair shows.

When I am not working, I enjoy shopping, being outdoors, camping, dirt bike riding, going to the beach, watching movies, and most importantly spending time with friends and family.

Prixie

Whether a client receives a healthy trim or an entirely new look, my top priority is making sure my clients love their hair! The part of my job I enjoy most is making people feel confident and beautiful. I want each client to know they will receive the special treatment that is expected at a high-end salon like The Loft, and to leave feeling satisfied with their experience and looking forward to their next appointment.

I received my training from Richards Beauty College in 1989. I am a certified Redken Color specialist and have attended many in-depth color technique classes through both Redken and Paul Mitchell. I specialize in creating updo's and have attended several Martin Parson Wedding and Special Occasion seminars.

During my time off, I enjoy spending time outdoors, gardening, and going to the beach with my kids. I also serve as a children's leader for Bible Study Fellowship (BSF).

As a stylist, my goal is to listen, create, and satisfy my clients. I want my clients to enjoy their visit to the salon and look forward to their next appointment. Plus, there's nothing more rewarding than making someone feel and look good!

I received my training at Citrus College Cosmetology in 2007-2008. I graduated at the top of my class and placed in the finals of the "Citrus College Senior Hairstylist Competition." In addition, I extended my training by assisting The Loft owner, David Gex.

During my time off, I enjoy traveling, golfing, going to the beach, watching sports, and spending time with my family and friends.

As a stylist, cutting and coloring hair is my passion! I've always loved making people feel beautiful; working in this industry has been a dream since I was young. The time I've spent working at The Loft has been even better than I could have hoped for. Everyone is so welcoming and the atmosphere is amazing! It's a salon where you can come in and feel at home.

I received my education and graduated from Vidal Sassoon in Santa Monica in August 2009. In September 2009, I passed my State Board Exam and began assisting The Loft owner, David Gex, and am now assisting stylist, Jenny.

In my free time, I love to hang out with family and friends, and enjoy shopping, going to the movies, and just trying to have fun in all that I do!

8 years as stylist- Received my training form Victor at Salon Mio in Covina, CA. Cutting and coloring are my knitch and Mens cuts are my specialty. I continue to educate myself with hair design and color classes. I enjoy getting to know people and strive to make them look and feel good.

During my time off I play with my band "Your Arsenal." I enjoy listening to music and collect vinyl. Most of all spending time with my wife.

As a stylist, I enjoy meeting new clients and making them feel good about themselves!

In 2005, I received my Journeyman Make-Up Artist certification from the Make-Up Designory (MUD) in Burbank. I continued my education and graduated from Citrus College Cosmetology in 2008.

During my time away from work, I enjoy being with my family and watching the LA Lakers. I also love staying active - playing basketball, coaching cheerleading, and going to the gym.

As a manicurist, I love to interact with clients and express my creativity. In today's world, you wouldn't leave the house without slipping on designer shoes and grabbing your designer handbag. I believe that your nails are as much an expression of your personal style and taste as your clothes. They are the ultimate fashion accessory.

I received my original training at Valley Vocational College in Industry in 1978 and have furthered my expertise at Jessica Nails, OPI Nails, and Tammy Taylor Nails. Some of my accomplishments include having previously owned my own salon and a successful 30 years in the nail business.

When I'm off the clock, I enjoy selling Real Estate, shopping, movies, television, decorating, gardening, reading, cooking, baking, and spending time with my friends.

I am currently a full time student at Azusa Pacific University studying to become an elementary school teacher.

Some of my accomplishments include attending the National Youth Leadership Conference in Washington DC, as well as the International Scholar Laureate Program in Eastern Europe. I also teach 3rd-5th grade Sunday school at Foothill Church in Glendora, and am involved in College Ministry at CCV.

In my time off, I love to be outside, whether at the beach, on a hike, or watching a sunset. I like to stay active, hang out with friends, TRAVEL, and enjoy life as much as possible!
